Why Did I Sign Up for a Job Search Agency?

I signed up because I knew I didn’t have a prestigious school background, no internship at a big company, and no real project experience. I realized that with my current situation, I wouldn’t be able to land an internship at a large company. So, I decided to look for a smaller company as a backup. However, internships in small companies offer little learning and mainly involve repetitive tasks.

I knew I wouldn’t get into a large company, so I heard about Drill Insight through a senior. Although I checked out their website, I still had many questions. For example: Do their classes really support both online and offline formats? Are the teachers responsible?

After a month of research and communication with Drill Insight, I became confident that it was a good fit. I attended a trial class, and after much thought, I enrolled in their TCS program using the money I earned from my small company internship. I’m balancing work and study, hoping this program will help me land a job at a big company.

My Experience with Drill Insight

The first thing I noticed in the TCS program was how advanced it was. In the first class, I couldn’t understand most of what the teacher was saying. I realized that I didn’t fully grasp what I had learned in school, but I thought it was very advanced!

In class, I learned how to apply web development concepts using Spring, why a controller is necessary in Spring, the importance of dividing projects into different layers, and why security is crucial. I also understood how AOP can be implemented and how a good project’s CRUD operations shouldn’t be overly simple. I realized that real-world projects are far more complex than basic CRUD operations.

After completing the program, I felt like I had gained so much. For the first time, I truly understood the thought process behind the code I wrote.

The Job Offer from Costco

After three months of working around the clock, I received an offer from Costco! Although the internship at the small company wasn’t much, it was still very tedious, especially with a manager from India. Even so, I worked during the day and attended classes at night to meet deadlines. It was exhausting, but those three months at Drill Insight were the most valuable for me.

As the program was coming to an end, I worked with my teacher to update my resume and prepare for interviews. Inspired by the teacher, I didn’t aim for big tech companies like Google, Amazon, or Apple. Instead, I focused on applying to companies in other sectors like banking, healthcare, and hypermarkets.

With the mock interviews and the support from the program, along with my three months of intensive work, I successfully landed the Costco offer!
