Hi, my name is Ethan. I completed my bachelor's degree in Computer Science at UCLA. After graduation, I chose to stay in the United States and work. However, due to my lack of understanding of algorithms and data structures, and my repeated mistakes in technical interviews, I missed many opportunities, so I decided to enroll in an algorithm course.

After comparing several algorithms courses on the market, I chose the algorithm and Data structure course from Drill Insight. The course mainly includes basic data structures such as arrays, linked lists, stacks, queues, trees, and more advanced dynamic programming, graph algorithms, and backtracking algorithms.

This knowledge can not only help me consolidate the basic algorithm, but also enable me to use Java proficiently when developing projects. It also improves interview skills. In addition to the algorithm course, it also includes 4 weeks of OOP teaching. I got a deep understanding of object-oriented programming and the core elements of the S.O.L.I.D principle, which helped me improve my answers to system design questions in the interview. Especially after learning design patterns and the relationship between classes and objects, I was able to express my design ideas more clearly and answer confidently in the teacher's mock interview.

After class, there are a lot of exercises. The teacher is really responsible, every time after class will ask me about my study, and give encouragement, unlike other institutions after the registration of no matter. Therefore, through the supervision of the teacher and my continuous practice, the structure and readability of the code were improved, and the system design was also more solid.

After completing the 8-week course, I submitted the teacher's optimized resume, received technical interviews from several major manufacturers, and finally received an offer from Amazon. Looking back at the entire job search process, from initial interview failures to subsequent interview confidence, the Drill Insight algorithm course helped me not only to understand questions faster, but also to improve the depth of problem solving. Now that I have started working at Amazon, I look forward to expanding into more technical areas in my future career.
